Did you happen to catch KQED tonight with the concert featuring Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga? It was wonderful! He did the same with Amy Winehouse (another huge talent, imo) not long before she passed.

What I love in both cases is the respect and acknowledgement he gets from the young artists and how he brings out the best of them in a jazz format. It is astounding.

Anyway, it lifted my spirits and I just wanted to share with anyone else who might have been watching.

I don't know september. But it is the annual funding drive that is going on and they always play the best stuff then. I bet it will be on several times. If you get a chance to catch it, do. You won't be disappointed!

Oh...sorry, but I try to avoid the funding drives. We've given quite often...we've done our part! But yes, they do show some good programming at these times. I'll look into this a bit later.

what is kqed...

I did see Tony and Lady Gaga when they were on HSN....I bought the C.D. and it is wonderful....he still sounds great and she has a beautiful voice...(something I didn't know)

Circles, it is our local PBS station. It was rude of me not to realize other areas might not recognize our stations. I apologize.

Looks like I missed it..not seeing it in my program guide for tonight, but with PBS..it will probably be on a different night. I'd like to see it.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago on our local PBS station.

I had no idea Lady Gaga had such a beautiful voice. I really enjoyed it.

I agree with you about her showing so much respect for Tony Bennett. It was nice to see. I think he really likes her too.

We watched this! It was great.
