Anyway, fascinating stuff. @MidNight I am glad you said they work. My curiousity was peaked, as I am reading more and more lately about EMFs disregulating different systems in the hhuman body, especially the immune system. There has to be some truth to it because autoimmune diseases are skyrocketing, right along side the amount of TV screens, computer screens, tablet screens being used for hours on end by people.

Personally, I think the rise in autoimmune disease (and allergies) may have to do with our food supply.  Most of our foods contain genetically-modified ingredients, and the produce itself is polluted with RoundUp and other chemicals.  Not only that, but our meat and dairy is loaded with antibiotics and added growth hormones.  Then you add in all the sugar and preservatives in our convenience foods (and the fact that most of these foods contain inadequate nutrition) and it's no wonder things like autoimmune disease, obesity and cancer are a huge problem.  And the fluoride in our drinking water has been shown to have no positive effect on tooth decay rates, but there is evidence that it may cause endocrine disruption.  (Topical application is helpful for preventing tooth decay, but ingesting fluoride does nothing to prevent cavities.)

On GMOs in particular...how are our bodies supposted to recognize them as food?  When you eat a food with an abnormal DNA profile, it only stands to reason that your body could react badly to it.  These foods were unleashed on the American public without adequate testing beforehand.  Companies like Monsanto told the FDA that artificially modified foods are no different than foods produced by selective breeding, so they don't need to be tested.  Then when they went to get their patents on their genetically-modified seeds, they told the patent office that their product was something new and totally different, thus warranting a patent.  Which is it?  Is it more of the same or is it new and different?  What a dog and pony show!!  And we have been the guinea pigs in this experiment.

This stuff is happening, and most people continue to believe that the government would never allow us to be poisoned, but it's not about us...it's about $$$.  Google "FDA Monsanto revolving door" if you want to see how the FDA and Monsanto trade their people back and forth like baseball cards.  There is a huge conflict of interest going on, and most people are either unaware or don't give a ****.  So lobbyists continue to give money to politicians and laws continue to be made that favor these companies who are willing to poison us for money.  (On a related note, Google "PDUFA" if you don't know what that is.  Learning about that was a huge eye-opener for me regarding the pharmaceutical industry.  Proponents say it helps fast-track approval of life-saving drugs, but it also presents a clear conflict of interest.)

Anyway, I don't know a whole lot about EMFs, so I'm going to look into that more.  Thanks for posting about this, @gabstoomuch

Sometimes I am frustrated with the boards and how cruel some people can be and then,,,Along comes this thread and it gives me faith in my fellow posters.  I feel elated because only here on these boards will we find mixed in with the venom,   loving caring posters who reach out to help others they don't even know.  God Bless all of you who are doing what you can to help others and hopefully each and everyone of you who is looking for someone to care about you will find it here.

@LilacTree  I ran across this article on Lyme Disease recently released by the CDC.  I thought maybe there was something new you'd like to read.

Yes, we are aware of this BS!   The CDC will never stop trying to deny that chronic Lyme exists, and we detest them for it.

@mistriTsquirrel

1000% true, Mistri.  Everybody's being paid off and they have absolutely no concern about what is in our food, and zero interest in solving the autoimmune and Lyme epidemics.  As you said . . . it's all about the $$$.

Our children are going to live their lives being chronically ill.  I am not a conspirathist about most things, but I am extremely concerned how little our great medical community cares.

Monsanto is evil and so is the FDA and the CDC.

BTW, European nations do not allow GMO products to be sold there.

Re: Calling Lilactree!

@mistriTsquirrel

I read almost all of the articles on the first page re PDUFA.  Talk about interpretation!!

PER THE FDA:

"The Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) provides the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with necessary resources to meet performance goals for the regulatory review of new medicines. Reauthorization of PDUFA is critical to ensuring America’s biopharmaceutical companies can continue scientific innovation and bring new treatments to help patients live longer, healthier lives."

Pretty much the same language by Big Pharma.

[No mention by either of the hundreds of millions of dollars and exchanges of resources that enhance their bottom lines quicker and get their stuff out on the market ASAP by making the review process for new meds shorter and shorter.]

Thanks for the heads up, Mistri!!  Everyone should read this.

Re: Calling Lilactree!

@mistriTsquirrel @LilacTree @gabstoomuch Its wonderful to see people waking up to whats happening  with our food and so much more!.....I have known for yrs and we eat non gmo organic only 99% of the time.....No sugar either and we are healthier now than before.....I had all the lyme symptoms for yrs and most are gone now.I never got tested...I do have some back issues like when i am on my feet cooking for a few hrs i would without fail get major pain spasming ect BUT 2 weeks ago started Gold Standard MSM sulfur salts 2 x a day and yesterday i cooked all day and NO pain...Yay......This stuff really works and i cant recommend it enough!......Read reviews on Amazon if interested...Lilactree i think this would benefit you and your DD.......All MSM is not created equal and the reason i went with gold standard for myself is because its 3rd party tested and pure no fillers.....My husband takes Dr Best capsules 360 count 1,000 mg 8 of then 2 x a day.....He cant handle the bitterness of the granules..This one is also pure..These are 16$ and change..Just to let you know the bottle says take 1 to 3 a day on empty stomach but to get real benefits i have read many need to take more and weight also figures in to that as well.

Mistri is  right in all she mentioned above.....Its so sad to see what is happening and sad that it cost so much to try to eat healthy food..If the usa only allowed organic food the price would drop so all could afford but then the corps and monsanto would loose money and they surly wont let that happen at least not now ..My prayer is that it  all changes some day soon  so all can enjoy organic food...I do believe tho that cell ph. towers smartphones wireless wifi and smartmeters disrupt our sensitive energy bodys and if so guided we need to protect as much a s we can.I know i am extremly sensitive to all this ...I am blown away at how many people have dementia nowdays including my dear dad and often wonder if he would have been ok if he ate better and didnt take all the pharmaceuticals the doctors gave him.....He never had a smart phone but who knows how the towers and smartmeters may have effected him?......I do have a smart phone but leave it off unless i leave the house  and need it i turn it on for something..I also  have a plug in device and necklace that shields our apt from the harmful energy...Take care everyone!

@mistriTsquirrel, what you're citing is relatively current, but I think our problem is historical. I believe the Boomer generation, of which I am a member, was reared on cr*p. Garbage food. Velveeta, canned soup, oleo, cottony fake Wonder Bread, Spam, and all sorts of other convenience foods of the era. Mom loved them because she wasn't really cooking from scratch any longer, and it was the only food most kids knew so they didn't complain. They'd never tasted a good French bread, crusty and chewy, or genuine Cheddar cheese, and forget about fresh fruits and veg when canned never spoiled. Then the big whammy: The incorporation of sugar, in all sorts of guises, into nearly all of those foods, and a general sweetening of the American diet, so that people started the day with a huge sugar buzz and ended with a fattening, sugary dessert after dinner.

We were reared on garbage food, and our bodies have paid the price. We're more susceptible to cell messaging foulups and less robust overall, I believe, than previous generations. We're lucky if we get off with allergies and sensitivities. I just hope the current generation of young parents was fed better and is giving their children better diets than we had. We're going to need them all to be hardy workers, because they'll be paying our Medicare bills.

@noodleann  When I was a kid, it was extremely rare to meet another kid who had some sort of serious food allergy.  Now it is not unusual at all.  What happened in the meantime?  GMOs happened.  So I don't think it's just about eating too much sugar, etc.
