@rockygems123.  Yes, I'm still a member, it's one little extravagance I allow myself as I just can't schlep groceries anymore.   There have been a couple of small snafus but most deliveries have been on time and complete.

@Kachina624

Ok great.  As I asked someone else free ship on groceries and do you add tip to the delivery?

@Tori3569

I appreciate the list that's really helpful.

Googled to see if $49 trial year still is offered and it is!

What the heck that's a good price to give it a fair trial for one year.

It is worth it for me. I've had it for 2 years and signed up for a third. I have my groceries delivered and the free shipping is great when I only want 1 item rather than Amazon where you often have to order several.

@QVCkitty1

Oh some great points.

Free groceries is big.  Many times when making my $35 ship order items from grocery aren't included.

Free but with a tip to the driver?

@rockygems123.  Yes, the tip is added automatically unless one wishes to change or eliminate it.  Our drivers are Grub Hub employees who buy their own gas.  I live less than a mile from the store so I consider my set tips to be generous.  I'm also always the first to get my delivery during my chosen time slot.

Re: Calling Kachina624 Walmart Plus

We've had it for years and love it. We signed up with the AARP $49 rate at first, but now pay $98 yearly. We use many of the extra features you get with the membership all the time.

We also got new tires for my husband's car recently and had a great experience with that service as well. We ordered the tires he wanted online at the WM site, and got a great Black Friday sale price since our local store didn't stock them. They shipped the tires to our local store for free.

I made the install appt online when I ordered the tires too. They offered two types of installation packages. One without their Road Hazzard Protection plan and a higer priced plan with with it. We selected the lower priced plan, but....

When the charge for the tires went through, I saw we got the the Road Hazzard Protection plan for free since we're Plus members, but were only charged the lower install package price. We got tons of emails and texted about when the tires would be arriving, our appt, etc. DH took car when tires arrived and was in and out quickly on a Saturday right after Thanksgiving. I can't speak to any of their other car care services since we haven't used them, but this service was very smooth and well priced.

As for tipping - Yes, we tip the delivery driver online when I put in my weekly grocery order. In the summer I also leave them a small bottle of cold water since it's mega hot where we live.

I don't know if the Sparks delivery people can see the tip ahead of time or not, so I don't know if they can refuse an order if they feel the tip is not what they desire. I know that happens with some restaurant food delivery companies. We've never had a problem with any WM orders, though.

During the holidays, I received two different promo codes to use for my orders. One was $5 off $40, and one that was $10 off $50 that could be used three times. Also one free Express delivery. We used, and enjoyed, all these promos as they really came in handy with the extra holiday food and gifts we needed.

I could go on, but let's just say we love WM+. Not having to constantly go to the store, the extras you get with the membership, the fast way they credit you back if something isn't right, the returns with home pick up for free...the list goes on.

Only ever had two problems - one with a Marketplace vendor (and WM made it right) and one with an entire food delivery that got delivered to a neighbors. WM refunded me the entire price of that order since I had to go down the street and retrieve our stuff myself from a very grumpy neighbor. I didn't ask for the refund either - I just notified them of the incident.

Have to get back to work now, but just wanted to give a thumbs up to this service!  :-)

@rockygems123 ,

I recently got Walmart+ with the $49 first year.

I don't mind going to the store but yes it's the "schlepping" them out of the car and into the house and putting away that can wear you out!

It will be great for the days if I"m sick or just not feeling like going out or terrible weather.

If you get the added "Home" option for $40 then you do not add a tip! The ones who deliver the added "Home" option are Walmart employees and you do not tip them. My daughter has that and thinks they also do a better job at selecting produce.

I think that is so worth it because if you add a 5-$10 tip with just the Walmart+ (usually 10% of bill) each time, that adds up to alot for the year!

Under the added "Home" upgrade you can choose different options all the way from leave at door, or bring inside, or bring inside and put away.

The only drawback of the Walmart+

and the added Home option is there is usually a 4 hour window to deliver.

I would not recommend the  "one pay" option which is confusing and seems to have a ton of terms like selling your info etc. I thought it would be easy and added it but really regreted that because it took forever to remove it from my account and my cc! It is also difficult to talk to any customer service from there. They have a dfiferent no. from Walmart and the reps are very difficult to understand. So I'd avoid that when it asks if you want to add "one pay."

Re: Calling Kachina624 Walmart Plus

@on the bay I have to say that your post opened up a whole new world for me.  One of the reasons I LOVE the forums and hope QVC never closes them is how much I learn here!

I had no idea about the "home" option and actually had to google how to get to that option in my membership.  It sounds wonderful especially for those who are homebound or disabled.  Wow!  Anyway, I'm not sure I'll do it, since you were kind enough to add the extra information about there being a 4-hour delivery window, but I am going to think on it.  And there is actually a free 30-day trial for the service that I might do.  Do you know if most of your daughter's deliveries are truly delivered in that 4-hour window?  My husband wondered if it sometimes takes longer.  Thank you!

@Ainhisg,

I'm glad the info about this helped.

My daughter just has told me she loves it-the home option and told me about the no tips.

I hesitated too because the 4 hour window for me I sometimes don't feel like waiting around or I want to take a nap! But you also don't have to use it all the time either.

I used it once and think I will just use it for large orders especially with heavy things.

You can always try and if you use Walmart+ alone you do feel obligated to add a tip every time and that adds up for a year.

You could try the free trial and see how you like itSmiley Happy

I'm glad i have it but not sure I will use it when it is $99 next year.

I agree about finding things. Their website can be hard to find things and that could improve.

Once you sign up for Walmart+ it has an option for upgrades and lists "Home."

Also in the upper left corner is a little bar that says how do you want delivery? pick-up, delivery or shipping. You also get 1 free express delivery like within an hour

with Walmart+.

@on the bay.  I never heard of or was offered anything called a "home" option.  Where did you hear about that?

Re: Calling Kachina624 Walmart Plus

@Kachina624 ,

My daughter told me about it.

When you sign into your Walmart+ account look for "upgrades" and you should see the "home" option which you can add.
