Do you know if cardinals live in your part of the country?  If they do, hang a couple feeders with safflower seeds and I bet you'll soon see cardinals!   Good luck!

@this is my nic   I googled to see if there’s cardinals here (Northern Nevada) I don’t think so. I’ve lived here over ten years and have never seen any. I lived in Northern California for over thirty years and didn’t see any there.
