I would like to thank the people who answered my question without the unnecessary snide remarks that some others used. Why do some people find it necessary to be negative. Not funny.

We also saw this cake presented last night and Elise said how heavy it was, just the one piece she cut. My DH looked it up and said $85 for 13.5 oz, i said it had to be a mistake.

Here's a link to an 8" cake that QVC is selling that weighs 5 pounds.  So based on that, 13.5 oz doesn't sound right.

@Caligurll   13.5 oz could be an error but either way a 13 lb cake is quite the heft.

There are no weights on their website so no way to know.

There is a confirmation from CS in the questions on the product page and she confirmed it as 13.5 oz.,  but I find that very hard to believe. I looked on Goldbelly where they have a lot of his cakes and they didn't list weights, either. As thick as those layers of frosting are, I wouldn't be surprised if there is't a pound of sugar and butter in each layer! There are others questioning the weight on the product  page, as well.
