Once CBS started moving shows around to accommodate football, I lost CSI in the mix. Last night, Sunday night football ran until 8 pm. CBS never pre-empts 60 minutes so I didn't get to see Madam Secretary until 9 pm. I read somewhere that the ratings were declining for CSI. The ratings are nothing to be ashamed of, but too low for CBS. I think they are contributing to the failure of the show by dumping it on Sunday.

I wonder how NCIS Los Angeles is doing? I never watch that one and think that moved that one around too.

Yes, nothing like putting a low rating show onto another night and then start pre- empting it for the news and football programs.

Its being punished for its low ratings (by moving it to Sunday)

NCIS LA was moved to Monday at 10PM ET and was previously on at 10PM ET on Tuesdays last season. Currently in the Tuesday 10PM timeslot is another show in the NCIS dynasty-- NCISNOLA --NCIS New Orleans

I wish they'd quit moving CSI around; I've been chasing it all over the place. Plus I'm still ticked off that they cancelled CSI: NY. One of the few good programs left on network tv.

I'm embarrassed to say that the football game that went over its allotted time was our own Denver Broncos, who got totally whipped by the Patriots.

So I'm on the West Coast and there have not been scrolling messages indicating the episode will air another day. The cable guide says its new and that's what you're expecting. Like your mouth is ready for pizza and you get cottage cheese! Talk about a way to kill a franchise.

I'm very disappointed (and surprised!) that this show is "on the bubble". Have watched from the beginning & always hoped that "Grissom" would come back!

I had started a thread on this yesterday (in the Entertainment section) asking if the show had aired last Sunday b/c I had dvr'd, but got a different program!

It did air last Sunday, but it wasn't the new one, which we then thought was going to air last night. Seems like the description was something about a girls gone wild weekend for the CSIs that got interrupted. Anyway, that one was late, too, because of the football game, so that had 60 Minutes, Madame Secretary, The Good Wife & CSI all starting later.

I guess we have to sacrifice some of our favorite programming up to the altar of the football gods. Until after the Superbowl, anyway.

Re: CSI Crime Scene Investigation

I know they had labeled the episode for last night as New and it was described as a kind of girls gone wild thing, but you may remember an episode from last year where Morgan, Finley and Sidle went to something out of town for the weekend, got sidelined on an out of the way road and one was almost presumed dead.

Even though they labeled the episode that was supposedly going to air last night as new, I was suspicious to begin with. Then, they re-aired the CSI-Computer geek episode.

Also, if you see an episode this season with the old cop, you immediately know its a repeat because he left at the end of last season.

I think that show has run it's course. It was never the same without Grissom.

Same with NCIS - never the same since Ziva left.

That's jmoymmv.

Well, I thought the same thing about that episode from last year. Whoever's submitting those descriptions must be smoking some wacky tabaccy or something{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} Maybe we're living in an episode of The Twilight Zone?

Laurence Fishburne was a bad fit for CSI, but I kind of like Ted Danson in it and I'm surprised I do.

Really do miss Ziva and don't like the blond girl, but we've got to adjust. Ratings will take care of everything.

Laurence Fishburne was just too much of a talent for CSI. I think he could act circles around the best of them. Ted does ok - a far cry from his Cheers day, for sure.

NCIS is just the same; DiNozzo with his juvenile jokes and the blonde girl seems far too young to have the experience to be in the unit.

Even Abby has outrun her quirkiness.

Guess it's just not the show for me anymore, not that I was a big fan to begin with.

I did notice the exchange between Abby and DiNozzo about Ziva; I wonder if she'll be back even if in the final episodes. Isn't this the final season??

I have read anywhere that this is the final season, but yes, I did notice that interchange between Abby and Tony. I believe Ziva would come back for an episode or 2 but everything I've seen indicated she wanted out of the show, not the other way around so who knows?
