@cheriere   So sorry your mom is going though this and by extension you.  I hope this time the bone heals properly and surgery is not necessary.  Each day is a new day and with each new  day I wish her continued improvement.

@cheriere I'm sorry for what your mom is going through and I wish her all the best.

Please take care of yourself as it sounds like you are spreading yourself  too thin.  I can relate a bit, I've been mentioning on here I am helping my daughter recover (she's staying with us) from a hysterectomy she had last Wed and have been doing the same as you.  Running around doing extra laundry, cleaning, cooking.......but thankfully DH is great and I have help.

She is holding her own and doing the best she can for herself but it makes me weary as she has other health problems in the background.   I have to keep her medications on schedule and help her to shower.  Thankfully though, she is getting a bit stronger everyday.........I've been on here mostly when she is napping!

Take care of yourself.

@cheriere,

I'm so glad to "see" youSmiley Happy

I was wondering if you and your mom were ok and missed seeing you as I hadn't seen you for a few days.

I had one of those contraptions used-I call them barbaric along with so many other procedures that are used today.

But after they used that, I had a steel bar and 8 steel pins-they said I won the break of the day. Next time I thought I'll just tell them to take the whole arm off! So I know how it hurts. I feel so badly for your mom. The good thing is she will always remember your loving care!

I'll be thinking of you both and I sure hope she will be in less pain.

I read your first post perfectly lol.  I guess we're both tired.  Thank you so much for your well wishes for my mother.  It really means a lot to me.❤️

I truly hope your back gets to feeling better as well.  I've heard the same about the back surgery too.  Everyone I know who's had it, regretted having done so.  They said it made it even worse.  I'll keep you in my prayers.❤️

@LindaSal

It definitely sounds as though you can relate.  I'm so sorry your daughter has had to go through this.  I know it can be quite rough to recuperate from.  I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.❤️

Please remember to take the same advice about taking care of yourself.❤️

@on the bay

I've missed talking with you all so much!❤️

I hoped you wouldn't think the worst.  That's why I wanted to be sure and make time to post today.  I even got up early and put together a lasagna because mom wanted one.  So, that's out of the way except for eating it lol.😃

I didn't know you had such a bad break yourself.  That sounds just awful!  I'm sorry you had to go through all of that.

Im hoping all goes better with her cast this time.  There's really no excuse that it started fusing to the wrong bone.  They must've not set it right the first time is all I can figure.

Sorry you and your mom are going through this, she is lucky to have you. I feel bad for elderly that have nobody to help with medical issues.
