Hi forum friends!😃❤️

I haven't posted in 3-4 days and I just wanted to say sorry if I missed any notifications.  I've just been exhausted from being on the road everyday and coming back to care for, cook and clean.

My mom has had appointments everyday this past week and they've sure kept me busy.  Her orthopedic appointment was awful!  Apparently the broken bone in her arm has tried to heal fusing to the wrong bone!  They recast it...but I'm not sure what's in store now.  I know we go back again soon for yet another X-ray.  This explains why she's been in so much pain still I guess.

I took some pictures of the torture contraption they used on her the first time whenever we were back in the room to get it recast again.  Thank heavens she didn't have to go through that again.  The mesh part holds the thumb high n the air while the 10lb bag of sand applies pressure.  Then, the dr and another man try to pull the arm in place.  This is called a closed reduction.  An open reduction is when they do surgery to put the bone back into place.  I sure pray they don't end up having to do surgery.

@meallen616

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Im hoping her wrist and arm will heal correctly this time.  We were hoping the cast would come off, but it looks like it's gonna be awhile.

Adding both you and your Mom to my long prayer list.  I am probably older than your mother and I can testify it is hard getting old and needing help with many things.  Good wishes.

Thank you.😃❤️

I truly appreciate that.  It's been so hard on her, but I do know that prayers are helping her through this...and me too.

Sorry to hear your mom is having a hard path.  You are a blessing to her.  Bones sure have their moments.

Wow that device looks positively medival. I guess it is better than surgery, though.

I broke my arm in three places when I was a kid. My parents insisted on waiting a few days, because they were worried about how my injury would make them look. Hence, my arm had to be rebroken because it was setting itself wrong. I was five, but I remember.

Anyway, sounds like your Mom is on the path to healing and you are both very lucky to have such a loving, supportive relationship. I am wishing you both the best health.

@Squirrels Are Trash

Oh my!  A break in three places sounds awful!  I can't imagine having it rebroken either!

Medival was the exact term my mom used to describe it lol.

I really appreciate your well wishes.  I hope everything heals the right way this time around.❤️❤️❤️
