Boy oh boy it seems the little bit I've said has been ripped to shreds.
Do you really think I only do things for my husband because he pays the bills and not because I love him? Sheesh! Have fun keep ripping if it makes you feel good.

I was thinking the same thing. We may or may not cook breakfast together a couple days a week but lunch, never? It's on your own for lunch.
Dinner varies too. I may cook or buy something 2-3 times a week to eat on all week but again get it and heat it , if necessary, when you want it. DH is perfectly able and happy to get what he wants and cook it , if necessary. We usually aren't hungry at the same time so this works for us.
@Bridgegal My DH makes his breakfast and lunch, I make dinner, but he has made dinner at times also.

@mousiegirl wrote:I placed an order yesterday. Now that DH works from home, I can't keep up with his lunch needs, don't want the processed cold cuts, so began looking. I saw Kirkland's Oven Browned Turkey Breast, so bought one.
I sliced it today, so moist and tender, excellent! I sliced the whole breast, which is sizable, and wrapped portions in saran wrap, then into a large freezer bag, many meals will come from this.
Of course DH won't want this every day, lol, so entire issue is not solved. I made egg salad, loves it, next I know he's tired of it. Bought a ham, same thing. He is a cheese addict, but now tired of that.
I don't eat breakfast, just brunch, so today was a turkey breast sandwich on 21 grain bread with lots of Spring mixed greens, and a bit of mayo, delicious.
It sounds like you are having fun keeping up with him
What on earth do you do for dinners lol. I am sure he appreciates everything you make for him. He is a lucky guy
@sunshine 919 I buy the food for the house, DH makes breakfast and lunch, I make dinner, and yes, he loves my cooking. I keep a stash of homemade soups, pasta sauces, and taco meat in the freezer for nights I don't want to cook. My dinners are simple these days, don't marathon cook as I did when I was young, more economical also. I use any leftover meats in tacos, grill the tortillas, and we both love these. Most days it's "what am I going to fix for dinner," but today, I will make stuffed pasta shells and sauce, so that will be quite a few meals, will just freeze half.
DH is sundergoing teatments so hasn't much of an appetite, so I have to make sure he eats because as I told him, people who don't eat disappear.

@lynnie61 My DH does his laundry, kept asking what he could do to help so I told him he could wash his laundry and put it away, and it is a big help, just one less chore I have to do.

@clarika wrote:Wow, I wish I could use Instacart for my Costco - the delay is currently 14 days on the 2 day shopping ( and that is only for whatever is available on your list - certainly not t-paper!) . It is interesting how different parts of the country have such different experiences
@clarika Wonder why it takes so long. Here, Costco has been the fastest to arrive, though most stores I use deliver within two hours.

@GenXmuse The only issue I have with Instacart is replacements. I kept complaining in emails that though I had a standing instruction not to replace anything, it was being done.
When I placed an order at the grocery store yesterday, I noticed there is a new feature next to each item, approve or not the replacement of items, so I specified no replacement for each, but one item was replaced, so am thinking the shoppers don't read the order very well. Other orders had many replacements, most were okay, but one was not.

When you put the item in your cart, you can look at the "best match" item that will be selected automatically as a replacement if it's not in stock and can specify ahead of time what replacement is acceptable. The shopper is choosing the replacement per se, they are following the prompt if the app they use as they shop.
It is a pain when they don't look at the chat or when you request a refund instead of the replacement though. I've had that happen a few times.

I'm just basing it on your words. I'd hardly call it ripping you to shreds. But if that makes you feel better to think that....

You twisted my words to make me seem like a rotten wife. You made an assumption that did not need to be made. Think what you want but your comment was uncalled for and rude.
