~ Burrs ~

About a week before Christmas I took my furbaby, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, to a groomer to have her all "prettied up." I usually do it, but I thought I'd give her and me a "treat." When she was done she was beautiful. Well, we went to my daughter's in VA - they have a llama farm, and sometime when I walked her she picked up several burrs, of course, they're right at the skin edge of her ears, thoroughly knotted in .... I'd say there are about 5-6. I've tried to work on them, but everytime I do she yelps. I hate having to take her back to the groomer to just have them taken out ... money is tight but I can't seem to do it myself. I walked her on her leash, but she apparently got them in their area of weeds, thistle, and tall grass.

She's very sensitive to any type of combing, or trimming, and so she yelps. I never know if I've cut her or not, but I know I have not. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd really appreciate your input.
