@Luvsmyfam   My AC ia running non stop.  I refuse to go out in this weather .  for health reasons  All you want to do is lay in some cool water.  I hope it cools down next week.  I live outside of Chicago in the suburbs which are always hotter than the lake front.

My relatives there have been complaining. Minnesota has been dealing with it too.

This is the kind of weather that makes you want to take a trip to Costco and stand in that refrigerated space where they keep the eggs and milk for as long as you can.

Stay cool and hopefully temps will let up soon.

@Luvsmyfam

Same high temps here where I live, humidity mostly around 80%. My wife is on a Pet Sitting job since last Friday, and will not be home until Sunday or Monday.

We don't use our whole home AC, haven't for over 10 years now. When she is gone I never turn our room AC on. From my years of working in factory where 100° was a cool day, I am fine with just our fans.

Have ceiling fans in all rooms in our large house. Our patio room has a heat pump AC/Heat, and my wife's master bedroom has a portable AC unit. Both cool the rooms as low as she want them to be.

When it gets up over 100° and higher humidity, I have several commercial grade 26" fans. I use them in my basement gym when I work out in the hot months. Bring one up into our patio room if it gets close to 100°, they work fine for me.

A nice cold shower and the heat doesn't bother me.

I'm in east central PA and the weather here is really nice. Supposed to be mid 80's today, but the weekend is really gonna be nice, in the upper 70's. I don't do well in the heat and humidity. For now I'm just using fans. The power company is raising rates 16%, so will wait on the AC until really needed. Feeling bad for all of you in that terrible heat. Stay safe.

@catter70    I am in the same area as you.     I'm up early every day so I open up the house to allow the cool air to circulate.... It feels so nice to have a breeze flowing through.  Since the power rates are going up, I try to conserve as much as possible.  Lots of fans running.   Like you...I don't do well with the heat....especially if the humidity is high.  Guess I'm just not a summer person.  Never was.   Soon I will be doing my countdown till fall.  🍁
