Bug bites

Every year when spring arrives i head out in the yard for some enjoyable gardening...but I always get bitten by something.This bite is on the back of my neck and I'm told huge by all who can see it.The thing even bled a little.It is red all around it with some extra but smaller bumps.I feel okay but now a little tentative about finishing my job.What is a good natural bug repellent?
