Re: Bryan Kohlberger Waives Speedy Trial

@Othereeeen   One sister in law is a lawyer.  She's currently a mentor for lawyers. Most of the law work she's done is for civil cases and divorce.  Early on, she avoided criminal cases as she had seen many defendants as being guilty but still defending them.  It bothered her too much and it became distracting, because the defendant has a right to a lawyer. She felt much better doing the civil cases.  To this day, she never looks at criminal cases in the news.

@songbird

Sounds like she made the right decision for herself.....but she HAD to know how the system works when she first accepted clients as a defense attorney...and that she would probably hear some awful things , have to respect thier rights via the attorney/client privelege....and then have to craft a defense for someone she may absolutely detest...

Thankfully there are lots of fields of law to go into....

Re: Bryan Kohlberger Waives Speedy Trial

I'm in Illinois and he would not indefinitely sit in jail w/o a trial.
States are not going to feed him for free, provide healthcare for free. Trial is coming and will begin.
