Are you familiar with the DSM? The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders? The clinical bible. It is NOT considered a disorder or a mental illness.

I understand what you are writing but, if those guys still don't get the fulfillment they thought they would get, that stuff can't be reversed. It may not be what they were hoping for all along.

To me it's just no effort to be a female BUT to stay attractive, svelte, well-groomed, and to acquire and maintain good taste is a chore for many. Will he know what he's getting in to in the end.

Not everyone chooses to go through all phases of secks reassignment surgery. Some do hormones only, no surgery. It's also pretty common to experiment with living as the opposite secks before surgery. BTW, it's not just men transitioning to be women. There are also women that transition to men. Regardless, it should always be done in conjuction with lots of therapy exploration.
