Thumbs up for Miss Fisher, from Australian Broadcasting, Just finished the second season on Netflix since our PBS run is on hiatus during the current pledge drive. The third season is in production now.

I enjoyed Miss Fisher (such beautiful clothes!) and loved Grantchester (what a hunky vicar!) too. There will be a second season of Grantchester as well. Broadchurch 1 was fantastic and I can't wait to watch Broadchurch 2 tomorrow night.

DH thinks I'm mad, but the vicar in Grantchester reminds me of Jenny Lee, the midwife (in Call The Midwife). Like they could be brother and sister (but they're not, I know they're not).

KathyPet: I found Broadchurch by accident on Netflix and you are quite right - after the first episode I was hooked. It was terrific. I understand they are now making Series 2 and apparently it will be shown here later in the year.

MomOf4: The first series of Broadchurch consists of eight episodes, all continuous, about the murder of a little boy. At the end of the eighth episode the killer is unmasked. I understand that Series 2 is about the killer's trial.

As a matter of interest, another great series on Netflix is The Fall. It is a superb police drama set in Ireland, starring Gillian Anderson, and is well worth watching.

Love Midsomer Murders. They always have such inventive ways of doing away with characters. Nothing so mundane as just shooting them. They will drown them in a vat of cider or fill a catapult with stones, tie the victim up and stone them to death. Done so wonderfully tongue in cheek. Love Inspector Lewis and his oh so interesting assistant Inspector Hathaway. Also watch Grantchester (he's so cute!), Foyle's War, Father Brown Mysteries and Miss Fisher. She is so pretty and the clothes she wears on that show are as beautiful as anything on Downton Abbey. The only one I simply cannot get into is Doc Martin. I have watched a couple of episodes but he is so abrasive I just cannot get interested. The second season of Broadchurch starts tonight on BBC America. It will follow the trial of the individual charged with the murder in Season 1. Each episode runs for 45 minutes and there were 8 episodes in Season 1. I got so,addicted I watched all 8 episodes over a two day period.

I cannot believe how much better BBC/Australian tv is. I didn't realize that there would be another season of Broadchurch--one of my husband's favorites.

Wentworth was another favorite. We just finished watching Rake--so much better than its American counterpart. Possibly my favorite was The Fall with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan from the infamous 50 Shades.

For fans of British shows, you might try ACORNTV. It's $5 a month or $50 a year. You can stream it with Roku. It has tons of old and current UK shows.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

If you like Broadchurch then check out Happy Valley on Netflix, it is excellent. They are making another series now too. Another good one set in Wales is Hinterland.

Thank you so much, I'd never heard of acorn before.

How does it work? Do you have to watch in on your computer?
