Nothing exciting. I like the mall.

I remember going to the mall there when my sons were young to cool off in the a/c, buy them an Orange Julius and watch the ice skaters.

It's a largely upscale foothill community at the far side of northeast Orange County, far from the ocean breezes. It's hot and smoggy in the summer. Nice houses.  As others have said, huge indoor air-conditioned mall - which you'll need in summer if your house has no a/c. It's neither particularly wonderful nor undesirable.

I award you Best Answer and if I knew how do it here by some special elite functionality which obviously is not mine to utilize, I would.

Yorba Linda is next door, and you can visit the Nixon library.

LOL - thanks ;-)

There's nothing "wrong" with Brea - not high crime, good schools, nice housing - just nothing special about it either. There are lots worse places to live.

Are you moving there?  What an area "is like" will depend on your needs .... i.e., do you have a family with small children who will be attending school, or a retired couple looking for leisure activities nearby.   It depends on what you want.

Brea = Orange County = Los Angeles as all the communities more or less run into one another.  And yessiree.... EXPENSIVE.....

But if you can afford it.... it's no worse/better than other So Ca communities....  Woman Happy
