I had seen this 26 yr. old on TV a couple of times recently and thought she had a very promising future. She was a writer for the Federalist.
Sadly she passed away yesterday. Condolences to her parents, siblings, and boyfriend. How very sad.

I am not familiar with this person however it always distresses me when I learn that someone so young has passed away.

Friends who saw her Wednesday said she was fine. No symptoms? Meningitis was also mentioned as a possible cause, in addition to H1N1 flu. I’m generally not in favor of autopsies, but in this case ....

I'd never heard of Bre Peyton but read about her passing. Totally shocking that this could happen to someone so young and seemingly healthy. The brief article I read suggested she was fine the day before she fell ill...and then was found unconscious and beyond help. Her family and friends must be devastated.....and in total disbelief!

I was not familiar with her.... but how sad. She was a beautiful intelligent young lady. Such a loss.

The YouTube channel I listen to for current events,
Agenda Free TV, did a special broadcast on her.
Many will know all the details, but for those of us who
don’t know who she was, this might help.

It’s a terrible heartbreaking tragedy.
Bre Payton, 26, beloved staff writer for The Federalist, passed away on Friday in San Diego, California following a sudden illness.
Bre’s Story..
Around 8:30, on December 27th, Bre's friend went into her room and found her unresponsive and barely breathing. She immediately called 911 and Bre was taken to the hospital where she was admitted to the ICU, sedated and intubated, and doctors began working up a diagnosis. After a CT scan and hours of testing, they determined she had the H1N1 flu and meningitis. While at the hospital in San Diego, her condition worsened and worsened.
Bre fought her illness with strength but, passed on December 28th, 2018. She will be survived by her four siblings and parents. She fought strong and lived a life worth noting in the books. We are so incredibly honored to have known this wonderful human being. ~ Caring Bridge

That’s sad and shocking
Seems unlikely you could be healthy one day and die from the flu the next. I hope they’re investigating

ITA.
Quite possibly she might have had an underlying medical issue
not visible to those close to her. Maybe lowered immunity
not able to fight normal viruses which wouldn’t affect most.
