Re: Boy, Fall Did Arrive On Time Here.

@Malcontent  When I was younger cold weather was nothing.  If there was a little snow on the deck I would go out barefoot to sweep it off.  My DH thought I was nuts. I was always barefoot.

Fast forward a few decades and if my feet are cold I am miserable, I can be in a lightweight night shirt but have heavy socks on due to my freezing tootsies.

Enjoy your Fall weather, @CrazyKittyLvr2 !  We're expected to reach 95 degrees today, tying our all time high for this date.  So no Fall here.  I was going to get out my wreath and porch decorations, but just couldn't bring myself to do it in this heat.

I envy everyone their crisp Fall weather, but I wouldn't trade winters with you.  Come January we'll be enjoying some really pleasant weather with lots of green outside instead of gray.  So it all evens out.Smiley Wink

We are in the upper 90's all this week.  I put my wooden witch out Sunday on my front door.  The sun was beating down on so bad in the afternoon yesterday that her legs fell off.   The little skirt is still attached so I think I will hang up next to the rest of the body because it looks a bit scarier that way.   Glue just melted away.

Ha ha, you just made me feel better about not putting out my Fall decorations yet!  It's 95 in NOLA today.

Re: Boy, Fall Did Arrive On Time Here.

High will be 68F tomorrow.  So today was our last stormy summer fling (I think)  The rest of the week/next week will be late 60's. Usually October starts to get chilly, and by November cold.. If it's a conventional winter, it should be a mild snow fall.  We usually don't get snow till after January.  And at the very deepest 5".  If it's the every 5 -7year cycle, Maryland gets more snow then Massachusetts.  Last time was 2016, we got 30" snowfall..  Maryland is listed as one of the extreme weather states.  I was surpirsed when I saw that, but then I thought of the perfect winter storms we get on  occasion. It made sense. But just not very often.
