Boy, Fall Did Arrive On Time Here.

Yesterday was sunny and fairly warm. This morning was rain, dark and chilly.

I am not complaining though, we need the rain and the chilly weather is so much better than the Brazilian rainforest temps/humidity of most of the summer. Temps tonight and tomorrow night may go into the upper 30s.

Our weather guy said October is to be above average temps. That is kind of funny considering they can't get a 7 day forecast right. Above average temps this time of year is good, keeps the furnace from running with heating costs the way they are.

Fall is my favorite season. Give me blue skies, sunshine and cool crisp air and I am a happy woman. I love the smell of burning leaves if it can be done safely.  Oh, add the smells of cinnamon and apple pie etc.

Still very hot and humid where I am.  Still swimming in the pool.  Fall is my favorite season but don't get much of a autumn here.  Really doesn't cool down, the way I like it, until November.  We got a ways to go.

88 and sunny at my house in Atlanta right now.

It is supposed to go into the 50's tonight though and then a high of 77 tomorrow.

I will hold on to summer for as long as I can.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

It was in the upper 80's yesterday and I just went to grab a sandwich at noon and it was 65.  The A/C is getting turned off when I get home and, hopefully, it won't get turned back on until next summer.

Don't get me wrong, the thought of the dead of winter is awful. At a couple of weeks from 72 I don't like super cold weather, ice and I especially dread heating bills but sadly winter follows my favorite time of year.

When I decorated Fall was the best, hands down.  Pa might not be New England for viewing fall foliage but it is pretty spectacular.

@CrazyKittyLvr2

My back deck thermometer says 38 degrees and it’s wet and foggy.

My husband set the thermostat to 58 and while he’s running errands this morning I turned it up to 74.

Remind me to set it back to 58 before he gets home.

@Malcontent   58 is kind of low.  We try to keep it set at 68 during the winter.

It's weird, if it is in the 50s outside it is no big deal, an occasional sweatshirt or sweater is good for me.  We lost power for 2 and 1/2 days in April (big ice storm) and it got down to 54 in the house. Darn that was cold. 54 outside, ok, 54 in the house, I was dressed like an Eskimo.

It was 95 here yesterday. UGH! Hoping that was the last of it. Highs in the 70s today and next week. Love that and love the fall season. 🍁 I'm in KY.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 , I always wonder about that, too, as far as tthe indoor and outdoor temp. I'm in east central Pa. and it looks like the rain might be done with. It's supposed to be in the low 40's tomorrow and they are talking about wind chill already. I had been going to ask if you had gotten out your long johns yet as it's colder in your neck of the woods than where I am.. It's 63 here right now.
