Re: Boxed Pancake/Waffle Mix

[ Edited ]

@Lucky Charm   This product intrigued me,...so I checked on the ingredients.  It is definitely a step up from the typical boxed products.  I'm a "from scratch" whole foods person.  But I think this is an improvement from the standard processed fare and you can always use a plant milk and add fresh blueberries - yummy.  Enjoy!

Re: Boxed Pancake/Waffle Mix

Another Bisquick user here! I like to throw in some blueberries sometimes, or I make these "Bacon Pancake Dippers" (pancakes surrounding a slice of crispy bacon). They are really tasty!

Ingredients

12 slices thick bacon cooked crispy
cups Original Bisquick™ mix
cup milk
eggs

Syrup for dipping

Pour strips of batter on a griddle. Top with a piece of cooked bacon. Pour more batter over top to cover. Cook until golden on one side. Flip. Cook until golden on the other side. Serve warm with butter and maple syrup.

Also wanted to add if you like Mickey waffles at Walt Disney World, google "Carbon's Golden Malted Waffle and Pancake Mix" -  that's what they use Woman Wink

Krusteaz   I add milk, not water.  They come out like homemade.  I also like their muffin mixes.

Re: Boxed Pancake/Waffle Mix

I peruse a lot of cookbooks @Happy2BHere and have never seen your bacon and pancake recipe shown. I could see them being popular, even with picky kids. Thanks!
