                We have ...a lot.. of Interstate drivers driving right to the stopping point GOING THE WRONG WAY, so I know exactly what you are referring to. With the taxes we pay, the Highway Patrol ever so present, I often wonder how do they miss this over & over?

  The so called (?music) is that blasted rap stuff and it's nothing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but NOISE!

 We live in a very quiet area, and pay dearly for it, but woth it if it remains. There are 12 pais uniforme hire village police that can be here within 2 minutes.

Absolutely, I understand...

    'why is nothing being established, or done- REPRIMANDED for these free for all whatsoevers?

   AND!  for those not living in a -I suppose- proteted area'? 

It's now just (as my dad had said: DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS... and that was over 7 years ago.

     I was at a loal dry cleaners the other day, and when I had gotten out there was a large red (new) $60,000 truck with the engine running, the boom box loudly playing this junk...I ould hear my heart go thump thump. I walked around- found no one, then went inside the dry

  Sounds like one of my neighbor's party's.

She blasts music, and has drunk arguments with her guests outside my bedroom windows in the wee hours.

One night she was celebrating something, and (drunkenly) shot fireworks off between the houses, so most landed on my roof and in my gutters (with the dried leaves!) while still burning.

Her guests throw cigarette butts and beer cans on my lawn as they go to their cars, because they don't want to risk getting stopped with an open beer in the car.

Her ex is on the police force, and she brags that she can do anything she wants. Her police friends won't stop her noise, but they'll tell her who reported her. And she's the vindictive type.

When I was still working I set up a bedroom in my basement to take advantage of the sound blocking below ground level. 

On the other side of me I have absolute angelic neighbors.

Oh, my goodness.  It was fortunate that your father wasn't home.  I don't have many noise problems now that we are on the quiet side of our condo complex.  Over on the other side, where there are more young working people, there would sometimes be loud parties.  We have Noise Police in our town and we found out, the noise threshold isn't just at night.  It's during the day too.  You call them, they arrive in about 20 minutes, check the decibel level of the noise and if it's too high, they take of the problem.  Day or night.  We do get some noise from holiday fireworks and when a local team wins a championhip.  If the Patriots had been in the Super Bowl and if they won....illegal fireworks would have gone off into the wee hours.  Don't have to worry about that this year.

I lived in Hollywood for 3 years........it's 24/7 of noise, sirens, and circling helicopters

@Anonymous032819 that is an unfortunate situation. I'm glad my neighborhood is quiet. What angered me was our recent hotel stay. The fire alarms went off while we were sleeping with that shrill sound and flashing lights. It's happened several times in the last few years and it's not a bit funny. It upsets me that no "all clear" comes over the loudspeakers. Some drunken guests probably pull the alarms to be funny. I did notice more security at the elevator this morning so I hope that discourages the wise guys.

QV's ............{{{{> XXXXXX>>>>>>>>>THIS WAS SUDDENLY CUT OFF AND Transferred, then off.       ..................so continuing-<}}} ???????????????

 I went inside and the ladies inside said they could not tolerate any longer, and I asked - how long?     Answer: About 1/2 hour, so I called 911 for emergency for hearing damage. As soon as the call went through, this GUY runs out of this small pub and jumps inside driving unbelievably fast.

    THEY must  (had to) have had a CB or inside tech apparatus to hear what goes through.

    Yes, this is noise and the GUY was out of his element for sure, from what I saw.

 People are now, apparently, are afraid to call, or approach anyone that is causing a justified problem.

@SharkE ...off topic --but our church uses that meter and the music is  always ABOVE 80 decibels....way to loud for me and DH, so we quit going to church and just go so sunday school....sometiems the base is just rididculous.

@Anonymous032819,...sorry it's so loud at your house today, sometimes it was like that in our neighborhood but the noisy neighbors moved last year, thank goodness.
