How is he able to use his litter box? Sometimes, they can't climb in by themselves and even if you help them they can't steady themselves to use it.

If BooBoo has the same expression as the shocked kitty in the photo, then maybe he's hallucinating a bit? Poor guy... He'll be himself in just a couple of days, just make him feel secure by loving him and giving him big hugs.
