Re: Body of Hoarder Found in Home After 5-Day Search DALLAS AUTHORITIES HAD TO CUT HOLES IN THE ROOF

I like to watch most of them. Seems the ones on now are from a previous network that dropped the show. They're all reruns, but I watch anyway!

Does usually get me in the mood to do a 'project clean'....like under a sink or get out the long handled wool duster thing and do the tops of the doors, etc!!!

We kid about hoarder dust around here, especially this time of year after running the heat all winter, having a dog and a cat. You can get 'stuff' in places you don't notice until suddenly it's an uh-oh!

I have never known anyone with this disease or sickness...........I did not even know it happened until the show came out but one night after watching. I feel sorry for them. I would think they don't have friends or at least the friends don't visit..........

I'm the same way; watching hoarders shows puts me in the mood to clean!

I stopped watching those shows because it takes me to a place I don't want to go in my mind. I feel badly for those living in such misery, but I truly do not understand the disease of hoarding. To live in filth and just accept it mystifies me. To subject your family to it as well, is beyond my comprehension.

How anyone could live in a house with decomposing animal bodies in it defies my imagination. These people need to be in a psychiatric facility. It makes my skin crawl to even think about the stench in the house. The house should be burned down after they clear it out.

There was a family of cat hoarders in my area whose neighbors complained about them for months before the city finally condemned their house and bulldozed it down.

Think about the fire and safety concerns for the neighborhood as well as for fire and police who may be called to the scene!!!

I find those Hoarding shows eerily fascinating. It's like a bad accident I can't look away from.

I've had that same thought. Sometimes the show really gets me revved up about clutter-busting.

Wow, how sad is that. At least they found the dog and were able to save him. I cant imagine living with all that stuff in my place. No place to sit, worse no bathroom. I dont know how people do it.

In fact, I watched an episode last night. The wife had the problem & was dragging her husband & 4 kids down. Exits to the house were blocked off w/ stuff, but...get this....the husband was a firefighter! He said their house was against fire code, but yet, he cowered down to his wife's disease. PLUS....his wife was a royal "B", yelling @ everyone, including the husband & consistently yelling & downgrading the kids (especially the strongest one that began challenging her)...calling them "stupid", etc. In fact, she SO blamed her kids on the mess, she hoped CPS would be called to remove the kids so she could be alone to clean up the mess herself. Whaaa? At the end, 3-4 trucks left WITHOUT filling & the crew put everything in boxes & back into the house. She refused aftercare therapy & CPS had to be called. The side note kicker? Why did the husband stay with her? I would've called for an ultimatum & left with the kids, but he stayed w/ this horrible woman that puts his life & the life of his kids in danger every day. Why would anyone put up with that?
