Blue Buffalo

Hello,my parents go to south Texas for the winter here from okla. Thy have their little 5 month yorkie on halo stew right now but the closes petco which is the only store we can get it from is 90 miles away BUT there is a petsmart close by and thy sell blue buffalo. So long story short my question is has blue buffalo ever been on the recall list? I know halo has not if thy switch him to BB what choice should thy switch him too? I have noticed BB. And halo r both great dog foods so does anyone have an answer or opinion on the two or recalls? Thank you all.
