@sidsmom--It's been a few yrs., so I don't remember the flavor. I had always loved Breyer's ice cream, so I was disappointed when I tasted it. Then I read the carton and read that it wasn't even ice cream. At the time I looked online and saw that there was quite a bit of displeasure about this amongst ice cream fans.

I used to like Bryers ice cream but I will buy Turkey Hill when it is on sale.
I rarely have ice cream.

If there was danger, I doubt they'd be allowed to resume production.
@Kachina624 I hope things go well because when we travel, we like to stop at Russell Stovers for chocolate and Blue Bell ice cream.
@Sister Golden Hair Are you talking about the Russell Stover outlet in Montrose, CO.? One of my favorite places on earth. I had been in NM a long time without Blue Bell and we wandered into that superstore of heavenly treats. I saw that BB sign and made a beeline for it, ignoring tables and tables groaning with the weight of delectable sweets. I ordered a double black walnut and spent my Russell Stover time nursing that ice cream in the cafe.
Shortly after that, they brought it to New Mexico and I was one happy camper. I could then find nirvana at Walmart, one of the few people to do so.
@Kachina624 There are several stores here in Missouri.
Did you get a membership?

@NickNack No, it's blue bell I'm talking about. Stores around me also sell blue bunny. I haven't tried either brand and while I've not really checked the prices of each, both just sound like off brands to me, cheaper than others.
I still won't buy either of these in fact. I know what I have in Breyers, grew up on this brand. I'll stick with it.
And if this brand is a more pricey one, why on earth would they continue to make it KNOWINGLY it's contaminated? This just baffles me and thoroughly disgusts me.
Leaving this on the shelf along with blue bunny.

Blue Bunny is comparable to Good Humor ice cream.
