Blessed again !

Here's what happened. I went to the grocery store yesterday about 1pm (CT), picked up a few items, back home no issues, nice evening. Got up this morning, checked my bank account for a new deposit, everything was fine. Got ready to go to the grocery store again because I needed a few more items I saw was now on sale. I decided to change purses and when I went to switch my bank cards to another purse I couldn't find my debit card. Double and triple checked, no card ! I panicked, called the bank immediately, canceled my card, confirmed no other charges since my grocery purchase yesterday.

I went to the bank, got a new card and went back to the grocery store and thank the Lord they had my card !

I had apparently dropped it on the floor when I was putting it back in my purse at the checkout and some nice person turned it in. Blessings to whoever turned in my card and I've been blessed again !

I found a Boscov's card at their store a couple weeks ago sitting on an outdoor furniture display. I gave it to an employee and she took it to the service desk.

@I am still oxox Have done that on several occasions. I've put the bank card back in a slot where another card already was, so the bank card was behind it and I could only see the other card.

Im just wowed by the fact that you can go to your bank and get a replacement card right then and there.

Ive not heard of that before. My bank sends one within a week by mail.

I once found someone's paycheck at the grocery store where I shop at, it was early Sat morning and there was an envelope on the floor near the shopping carts that had been folded a couple of times like it had been in a pocket and fell out, I turned the envelope with the check in to the manager of the store. I am sure that person who lost it was in a panic and hope he was able to retrace his steps and inquire within the store.

And nowadays the thief knows everything is on camera inside and outside of the stores.

I’ve left my credit card at stores where you have to hand it to the clerk. It’s an awful feeling when you realize it. Quick call to the credit card company and wait for the new card to come in a few days.

This happened to me last Friday. Since the pandemic the only time I carry a pocketbook is at Church. I bought a leather slim wallet. It's about 3in x 4in and it had my Debit Card, Drivers license, health insurance card, Home Depot Card and my nephew's business card, one $20 bill and two singles.

Eveything I wear has pockets and so I put it in my pocket, my keys in the other pocket and hold my phone in my hand.

Went to Walmart and when I got home I couldn't find the wallet. Checked my Bank Account and everything was fine. Called Walmart and the Associate told me that someone turned it in. I must say I was very surprised but somehow I felt confident that someone would turn it in. I thanked her and told her I would pick it up the followering day.

For some reason I kept thinking about having to go to the DMV for a new license, even though our DMV has 37 windows and hardly any wait.

All I can say is that there are a lot of honest people out there. One thing I don't do is panic. Those days are over.
