Birthday versus "Adoption" Day

For those of you that have rescue animals, do you celebrate the birthday of the pet or the anniversary of the date you adopted him/her? I have cats that are rescues and I do not know their actual dates of birth. I celebrate on the adoption date. Thanks for sharing!
