Bird Feeder-To many Blackbirds(?)

Backyard bird lovers,

I had dh put a bird feeder up in September. We've been getting so many pretty birds(cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, etc.) First the squirrels found a way to climb up the pole to get the food. dh bought some environment friendly lubricate and that solved that but now, dozens of blackbirds have started coming. They chase all the other birds away and they stay and eat until the feeder is empty! Is there any way to avoid this?
