I think you would enjoy it.On 1/19/2014 benzgirl said:On 1/19/2014 WestieLove said:No. Not at all. The library is just that. It's a book store and a very nice restaurant. The walking tour takes place in the same building and takes anywhere between an hour to an hour and a half - - depending on how much you want to look at and read. But of course you will want to tour the family homestead, which is right on campus and visit the gravesite of Ruth Graham. Again, everything is right there on the same campus and very easy to walk from one area to the next. I hope you get to visit soon.On 1/19/2014 benzgirl said:On 1/19/2014 JeanLouiseFinch said:JeanLouise...I had an opportunity to go to the Billy Graham Training Center in Charlotte last summer and I toured the library. If you can, I would recommend taking the tour. Besides the cross you are referring to there is another cross inside the museum at the end of the tour. You walk through it, at the base of the cross. It's illuminated by white light. Once you come through, you are in the last room of the tour and standing before a wall to wall/floor to ceiling painting of the hill at Calvary. I think I recall our guide telling us that this was Thomas Kincaid's last work. the painting is magnificent and we were told that it took several months to complete the painting. It was obviously a great labor of love.Dr. Graham has certainly led a life of service for The Lord, has been loved my many, counseled world leaders, and will definitely be missed by many of the faith. I enjoy watching the Gaither Homecoming show on Friday nights. Last week's was a concert under one of the big tents on the Graham property. The museum looks quite special. To get inside, you enter "through The Cross" - symbolic of how to get into Heaven.
I would love to go there! Does it take more than 1 day to see everything there?
Thanks so much benzgirl...I really have been wanting to go as I see it advertised on TV every once in a while.

We often ask why there is so much evil in our world. Here is Rev. Graham's response to that subject. ~~~~~~~~~~~
“If God were to remove all evil from our world (but somehow leave human beings on the planet), it would mean that the essence of 'humanness' would be destroyed. We would become robots.
Let me explain what I mean by this. If God eliminated evil by programming us to perform only good acts, we would lose this distinguishing mark - the ability to make choices. We would no longer be free moral agents. We would be reduced to the status of robots.
Let's take this a step further. Robots do not love. God created us with the capacity to love. Love is based upon one's right to choose to love. We cannot force others to love us. We can make them serve us or obey us. But true love is founded upon one's freedom to choose to respond.”

So the only way man would or could remain faithful is if he is programmed to do so? I don't think so because there were many faithful people spoken of in the Bible and many faithful people who have lived since then.

But originally God created Adam and Eve because he wanted them to be robotic and obedient to him but they disobeyed him so the Reverend's explanation makes no sense not to mention there's nothing in the bible to back that up.

""Graham also said that his father would appreciate everyone’s prayers.""
Rev. Graham and his family are in my prayers.

If that was the case don't you think God being all powerful could have succeeded in doing just that? I think instead he gave Adam and Eve free will wanting them to serve Him because they loved him not because they had no other choice.

Truly an amazing man--what a gift he has been for so many years. I felt so sorry for him when he lost his precious wife, Ruth.

When I was growing up, our family always watched the Crusades on TV. Dr. Graham has lived his life doing what he believed he was called to do. I am certain that he feels ready to meet the Lord he has so faithfully served and be united once more with his beloved Ruth. I think he has been ready to go since she passed, really. They were a truly devoted couple.
