I saw this sign on a billboard next to a little country store yesterday, and thought how true it is.

"Don't you find it strange that common sense isn't all that common anymore."

  I believe the more people we are exposed to the more we realize common sense isn't really all that common. I blame many decades of TV and the Internet for revealing how uncommon it really can be.

And isn't "commonplace" either.

I think "common sense" is defined differently for each individual.
