I lived with earthquakes in California for 25 years, but I can't do tornadoes.  Thought about returning to the Midwest (born in Illinois), but then I remembered tornadoes.  We visited a friend who lives outside of Kansas City.  He sleeps wiith a weather radio.

Decided not to move there.

We left California in '95 and moved to New Mexico.  Have tried to leave a couple times but once you're here it's hard to get out.  That's why we call it The Land of Entrapment.

But maybe one spring, like a tumbleweed, I'll get blown out of the state. Woman Wink

I grew up in CA and lived there until I was 30ish. I'll take earthquakes over tornados anyday.

Waiting to get our weather report very soon.  We are under a tornado watch.....and some rain now......  Don't know about what kind of wind we will be having.  Will definitely keep my ears open for any sirens we will be getting.  It is pretty dark and dreary out there right now,

Western PA-We have two fronts with strong winds coming thru according to our local weather report.  One Wednesday at around 5am.   Then stronger winds Wednesday at around 10am.  They are advising us to charge cell phones, have flashlights and batteries handy, and other essentials.

Going to fill up some water bottles and the laundry tub with water tonight (we have a well).

I will be hanging out in the basement and/or garage as usual because we live among the trees.

Not so far.

I hope we don't have another tornado watch or warning. Last week was awful for me because we had two tornado warnings between 11:15 and midnight and it took me an hour to calm down after that, so I didn't get much sleep. The next three nights I had work meetings from 8-9 pm two nights and 9-10pm another night, then an 8am meeting the morning after the 9-10pm meeting. By Friday, I could barely stay awake.
