Beyonce' in Walmart?

Just saw something on the news and I wasn't paying full attention, but it mentioned Beyonce' was in a Walmart somewhere (I think regarding her new album) and she was making an announcement to the shoppers that the first $50 of their purchases would be covered by her.

The news storey said there were approximately 750 people in the store (hope I got that right).

While she didn't have to give anyone anything, I thought to myself, "If I had her kind of money, I would have at least given $100 or more. I mean, seriously, she has millions...and for all I know she gives lots away, but it just sounded strange to me. $50 doesn't go very far.

Nevertheless, it was a welcome gift to everyone on the receiving end.
