Did anyone else watch the first episode last night? I realize it had some heavy competition from the Grammy awards. It moved a bit slow at first, but picked up as we come to see how Saul transitioned to 'the dark side'. Fun to see "Mike" and "Tuco" show up. Am looking forward to the second episode this evening. The first episode is being reaired tonight before the second.

Meh. On the fence right now. I do like Odenkirk as an actor. Will continue to watch.

I will continue to watch. I think last night was slow because it was the set up. I hope so anyway. I have high hopes for this. Odenkirk is a riot and I love the guy who plays Mike also. Can't wait to see how those to get connected.
Anybody who didn't watch Breaking Bad will have a hard time ""getting"" this show I'm afraid.

Hi scottie: I did laugh at the opening with Saul working at Cinnabon. Those were about his last words in BB.
I wondered how much would tie in.

My dd reminded me of that last night. I had forgotten it.
But, what I don't get is, why is he working? Didn't he have a boatload of cash when he went into hiding?

Oh well, Cranberries you MIGHT develop an interest if you give it another chance or two.
Basically Saul was the "fixer" lawyer for the drug dealers in Breaking Bad. "Saul" was a faux name he picked for himself. He always interjected humor into the series with his facial expressions, mannerisms, and witticisms. He was a coward and totally amoral. But really funny (he is a comedian in real life also).
The guy at the ticket booth who wouldn't let him through the gate without another "stamp" was a featured player in Breaking Bad also. A former cop, named Mike, who became an enforcer for the dealers. He became somewhat sympathetic due to his loyalty to his friends and his devotion to his grandchildren.

scottie: He had to assume a new identity and stay low for a while.
FREE CINNABON's today between 5pm and 9pm in honor of Saul!!!
That's a fact - not making a joke!!
