yes, I have.

I live in an area with lots of good Mexican food.

I like that... a food bucket list.

Maybe we could post our lists!

I'll have to think about what would be on mine.

I like the idea of a food bucket list!

When I was trying to think of the Mexican dish with chocolate, I kept thinking of molo.  But no, that's Filipino food.

I have had Filipino "chocolate sauce."  Not chocolate in reality, it's blood sauce.

My grandmother used to make a soup from goose blood that looked just like chocolate milk.  I might have eaten it if I didn't see it being made. (insert yuck emotie here)

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

I would probably have a pretty long food bucket list if I start to think about it.  I don't live in an area that has much ethnic food, so I've led a pretty sheltered life.    I did FINALLY get around to making Roasted cauliflour for the first time tonight - and it actually turned out great!  Smiley Happy

Are you two referring to the posts from two who said their mothers both had brain cancer?

That wasn't me, or am I confused about what you both meant?

That was me and Kittymom.

Noel, for some reason when you quote, you aren't catching the "So and So wrote:". I bolded it above.

bette, I don't use the quote feature, I don't know how and it's messy.  I think someone else quoted, sorry.  I'll see if I can figure out what happened.

Mole chicken is great. Its a wonderful meal. I particularly love to eat items in mole sauce when the weather starts to turn cooler. Its so rich and dark and complex.

The seasonings and chocolate mix bring one back to one's Aztec Empire days. Ah, remember those days? Of cocoa beans, feathered headwear and human sacrifices? (sniffle, the memories almost want to make me cry). lol

I get into moods for a mole fix every so often. Like, I'll have a yen (not to mix my ethnic metaphors or anything) for everything mole for a week...and then I can move on once I never want to see mole again for at least 6 months. lol

Eat it with posole (hominy) made from blue corn (heartier) and Margaritas. Mexican ice cream for dessert (cold vanilla ice cream served inside a warm shell tortilla with cinnamon).

Now I want the weather to change. lol
