I don't get why people blast this forum and then continue to post for what seems like years for many.

I think if people found it useful they should bring it back. It was never a feature I used more than a couple of times. I did put that ridiculous, golfing creature from Florida on Ignore once in while when I couldn't take any more of her nonsense. But that's about it.

The Q never really implemented a true "ignore" feature here. You could ignore a posters comments within a thread, but you could still see any thread created by the ignored poster and their opening comment and anytime someone quoted them - those showed up. That is how I know what *some* people did state.

I've been on boards where all of those things are suppressed, so it is doable.

I so agree with you!

I've never used the ignore button. Same as now, I haven't used the hearts - yet.

I can usually get past how people are saying things, too. I know when someone is deliberately trying to be mean or disrespectful. I think I have enough of whatever it takes to ignore something on my own.

I hadn't missed it until you mentioned it. I did have a couple of people on "ignore" because I just found them to be too negative on a very consistent basis and I felt my mood dive whenever I read a post by them.

Then, when I would see a blank post indicating that someone I was "ignoring" posted something, I would always be curious. I guess that's human nature.

I think it would be better with more squabbling too boring. There are so many other things that need to be corrected. I miss the days when 3 different posters would post the same thing in viewpoints. Any squabbling is quickly removed anyway.

I was thinking that the people who just love to come on the board and fight and argue and squabble and the cry about it all had diminished considerably. I hate to think I was wrong. We're not 5 years old....what do you did an "ignore" button for? You know the people you don't like. Don't read their posts.
