Here we go again.  Senseless.......

Officers were dispatched to the Safeway at the Forum Shopping Center shortly after 7 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired, the Bend Police Department said in a statement.

On top of that Chicago this weekend 35 shot 9 fatally. We have a problem with people who have no regard for others. Here we go again about sums it up.

Yes and in Detroit too.  I think the Detroit one might have been a spree because it didn't happen all at once.

I think the shooting that happened at the Mall of America in Minnesota earlier this month has video footage.  I find that distasteful, but there is a youtube video showing people running for their lives.

(Wisconsin) TOWN OF CLINTON—Four people were shot and wounded during an apparent outdoor party in rural Clinton late Saturday or early Sunday.

Neighbors said a party on a farm property had raged around the clock Saturday into the early-morning hours in the 9200 block of Little Lane in the town of Clinton. Rock County Sheriff’s Office authorities received a report of a shooting at about 12:35 a.m. Three shooting victims were transported to area hospitals before law enforcement authorities arrived on the scene. One gunshot victim was found on the scene and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville via ambulance, according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

By mid-morning Sunday, police had left the scene of the shooting at 9221 E. Little Lane, the only house on a cul-de-sac just northeast of the Highway 140/Interstate 43 interchange outside the village of Clinton.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved in the shooting.

My son lives there. One of his good friends was in the store when it happened. I've been in that Safeway with him several times when I visited. It's so scary. Much more will most likely be learned as time goes on....

the last report i saw about the Safeway shooting in Oregon said the shooter killed himself after killing a customer in the front of the store and another shopper in the back of the store.One other injured. The police never had to fire any shots since the shooter took his own life before they arrived.

My DH stayed in the car while I went inside the grocery store to pick some milk last week. He wasn't in the same place when I came back outside; he said a suspicious-looking guy was wandering around the parking lot; since we have heard about carjacking being a big problem lately, he decided to drive to the other side of the parking lot. He confessed he felt vulnerable; something I never thought I would hear him say. Where can we go and feel safe now?
