I just read an article today at MSN news - Bloomberg titled:
Amazon Workers Are Listening to What You Tell Alexa
DH and I personally have no interest using these new devices, but be careful of your privacy. Keep in mind, as technology expands into every aspect of your life, the less privacy you will actually have.
Some folks don't care if everything is out there for the whole world to know...
DH and I have our boundaries.

People can go into the Privacy settings and turn it off.

There is a reason I don't have Alexa.

@Mary Bailey In many cases yes, but if there is a problem or glitch, all bets are off.
Look at all the privacy breaches/abuses that have been made by companies like Facebook...privacy settings weren't even a factor.

Now that really made me laugh...LOL Amazon workers are free to listen to anything and everything I say around Alexa. I'm not doing anything illegal or immoral or even interesting....LOL

My privacy settings are turned on.
I'm not doing or saying anything in front of Alexa that I need to worry about. LOL

I pity the employees who might have to listen to my "conversatons" with Alexa. "Alexa......set the timer for "x" minutes, Alexa, set a reminder for.....Alexa did Virginia win the basketball game.... etc., etc., etc. Pretty heavy stuff!![]()

I read about it this morning.I don’t know how it can be legal. I don’t have an Alexa & have no plans of getting one. There is no privacy at all these days.Big brother is always watching.Beware!!

I hope they don’t find out that I just asked Alexa to play Lucy in the sky with diamonds for the 1000 th time! Thanks for the heads up! 😂 On a serious note that is good to be aware of how these devices can be a security issue.😳
