Beautiful sunrise! Or is it sunset?

Yes, where you live, (Southern California) did get poured on.

Is there still a threat of mudslides?

Yes, the earth can move months after the rain- I am wary of that, It happened to my cousin in Bluebird Canyon about 10 years ago- BOOM! when you least expect it!

My street and yard are a mess, but nothing major happened- i am hoping that most of the ash and debris is gone after this storm-

And when you think that this fire was only a month ago I think we did pretty good- those K Rails and sandbags were godsend-

For all of those who "followed" my trauma, I really wanted to post a nice pic of one of my favorite views from my home to kind of say "thanks" and "it's not ALL fires and mudslides"!!!

still, that is beautiful! When I lived in So Cal, I always stated that the air pollution made for some beautiful technicolor sunrises and sunsets!

Air pollution does indeed make for some beautiful sunrises and sets, but this was more a function of good old rain clouds on the horizon! Not too much air pollution after days of rain... but you should see the sunrises after the fires!!!

This is actually what I look at when I am on my computer - my desk and laptop face this sliding glass door in my bedroom..looks like we are in for a little more rain, right now, though..

Whenever I see something pretty or scary off my patio, I always have my camera ready!

I saw where you evacuated and I'm so happy you were able to go home. Hope this is the last you see of the bad storms. I know you still need the rain, but I hope it's small showers for a while.
