Barry Manilow?

I just flipped over to the Q to see what was playing. Barry Manilow seems to be talking/singing.... not that great, in my opinion. Did he used to be better?

Better? Yes. I'm a big fan, but his voice has changed as he's aged. Sorta' breaks my heart to see and hear him now.

Another celebrity who ruined their looks with bad plastic surgery. What's wrong with people?

I still like him very much. Wish he hadn't done the plastic surgery.

I saw him the first time he was on and purchased the cd....its really good...much better then what you heard tonight...

It is a shame when people get plastic surgery...you would think with their money...they would have the best physicians money can buy...and yet....we have seen the many disasters to these folks....

I don't think Barry looks as bad as some of the other stars....

Barry is starting a nationwide tour in February. I am a big fan of 30+ years. I just don't know how his voice is going to hold out throughout the tour. I hope he doesn't end up using recorded voice tracks to sing over like many do. I hate that as it's not fair to the audience.

I wanted to see him again when he comes to my town, but I just can't pay the money and be so disappointed by the changes and decline.

Nevertheless, Barry is an amazing entertainer, composer and humanitarian. It's about time that the Kennedy Center Honors honors Barry Manilow! They honored Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen. Barry deserves it now!

The "Dream Duets" CD is real good and different. I am enjoying it also.

A while ago, a neighbor of Barry's who comes on the Q Forum said that he is taking pain meds for his hips and it causes his face to swell. Could be. It's a shame that it has affected his voice, both speaking and singing.
