Deer are beautiful and I do understand why they are hunted, but I am really disgusted right now that my sister-in-law felt the need to post on Facebook her dad's latest kill.

We've had several here over the years.   Always leave them alone and they're gone later.  We had twins back in the summer, who slept and frolicked in our front yard for hours one day.  At the end of the day they wandered down close to the road so I went down, pulled my car over and hung out until they went back up and into the woods.  They were still pretty young at that point.

Our driveway is long.  Tonight there was a herd at the top and in order to get to the garage I had to drive about as fast as a person can walk.  There's always a few who stamp their front feet at me and act like they own the place. Woman Wink

I may have returned it to the wild, but not until I kissed it's face all over, lol.  It probably would have kicked the snot out of me.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

We get them all. This year 2 different bucks have come into the yard. In back. Sometimes they come up to the front of the house and walk right across the front yard. My dog understands my wispering and we go into the craft/office area and I put the back blinds up and she gets to watch them up close on top of the desk. She stands there quietly and watches and watches them. 's great fun.

We have deer everywhere in my neck of the woods. We've had "deer whistles" on all of our vehicles for 17 years now. They also work well with scaring the squirrels and other animals crossing the road. Smiley Very Happy
