I'm on the road a lot and have encountered only a few who don't signal. What annoys me are the slow drivers and those who ride their brakes, braking at every curve, braking going down every slope no matter how small.

And where did these young drivers learn this behavior / attitude ??? They are in the growing number of drivers posters have been venting about.
Also, if there were more "road" police or a procedure where good drivers could notify police before tragedy strikes, then the texting and aggressive driving will decrease.
Until then, be very defensive in your driving.

@Karnerblue wrote:I totally agree. On my way to and from work everyday I drive through recently built roundabouts. Seven of them. It's crazy. People coming from the highway are supposed to yield to those already in the roundabout, but they don't even slow down. I almost was broadsided by someone coming into the roundabout at about 50 mph. They never turned their head to even look. That happens on a daily basis. I get so nervous everyday. And yesterday I was in the center turning lane waiting to turn left and I was almost hit headon by a girl coming in the opposite direction and she was texting and her head was down and she veered right at me. I laid on my horn and she looked up and slammed on her brakes. Then she proceeds to give me the finger. Really. Some days I have panic attacks.
How can you turn left from a roundabout? I don't understand.

I'd love to have a large sticker to hold up when beside someone stupidly texting away & driving...

I agree and it just keeps getting worse. Do you have any idea of how many people are driving who been told not to because of medications they are taking or medical conditions they have? The number is huge. I try to schedule things so that I don't have to leave the house more than twice a week since I am retired. I realize for those who are working that is not feasible.

We were on a very busy, high speed interstate highway the other day and out of nowhere a car came speeding up next to us on our right side. There was a truck right in front of it and we were in the adjacent lane so the driver had to slam on her brakes to avoid a collision. I was in the passenger seat, so I looked over and, of course, the driver was looking at her cell phone. I don't know what's wrong with people who think this is ok to do. They cause accidents that injure and kill. The police need to really watch out for these folks. It's against the law in my state to use a hand held cell phone while driving. Talking is bad enough, but lots of people think nothing of texting, etc. Where is the outrage?

You all should live where the vast majority of those on the road are over 70 - only come here for a few months in the winter so they are not familiar where they are going, and are driving a car they don't regularly drive. Add to that the fluffy white dog sitting on the driver's lap and hanging out the window, the cell phone and the radio and it is a recipe for disaster.

Agree to all the complaints......I live in a small town so I don't know if this is relavant to big cities but few drivers know the rules of how to "yeild right of way" Two cars approach and intersection with each having a stop sign. One car is going straight and the other is turning. We all know that the car going straight has the ROW but he will invaribly "way you on" to go ahead and turn!!! NO!
The traffic rules don't say that when 2 cars approach an intersection they mutually decide which one goes first. I guess some drivers actually think they are being polite.

There's people of all ages who are horrible drivers.
I cannot tell you how many times I'm in a parking lot and people are backing out and not even looking.
People change lanes and don't signal.
It hasn't even snowed yet. Ackk....

All the previously-listed reasons are why I avoid driving whenever possible. Will catch a ride with my husband or call a cab when I can. I keep my license current in case I must drive.
