To answer a few of your questions most of my info is from Huff Po and our govts own agencies. My brother currently works in Korea as a private defense contractor protecting private citizens and public ones all around the world. He himself and those in that type of industry are shocked that so little is required to put someone on one of these lists. The language of these guidelines and what is considered acceptable to make it on one is astonishing and requires very little actually. No proof at all is required and our own govt has finally admitted to that and that they use predictive assessments instead of hard evidence. Sorry but you cannot curtail the rights of American citizens on a hunch with no evidence at all.
Some of my info is from Huffington Post. Our own govt has finally admitted that the no fly and terror watch lists uses predictive assessments instead fo hard evidence. In 2013 alone 468,749 were submitted to the National Counterterrorism Center. It rejected only 1% of their recommendations.
The Intercept published a 166-page document outlining the government's guidelines for placing people on an expansive network of terror watch lists, including the no-fly list. In their report, Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Devereaux highlighted the extremely vague and loosely defined criteria developed by 19 federal agencies, supposedly to fight terrorism.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I appreciate that.
We should all keep this in mind when the refugee discussion comes round again here as this parallels what is going on with them as well.

Not the same when they can purchase a passport and be whoever they want to be for a nominal fee. And, yes I feel for families who are hurting and unhappy but Ben Carson recently took a trip to a refugee camp and what the majority want is ISIS stopped so they can go home.
