10:33PM ET: Moon enters umbra.
11:41PM ET: Moon is fully inside umbra.
12:43AM ET: Moon leaves umbra.
1:50AM ET: Moon completely out of the umbra.
2:48AM ET: Moon completely out of the penumbra. The show’s over!

That picture I posted is actually my own pic and some chick decorated it up with my name and added the graphics.

My own name for it is cinnamon moon. It's amazing and awesome.

 

I'll have to Tivo PBS Queenie show she can wait. Blood moons don't come around that often and this may be the last one I'll ever see.

 

I'll have front row seat and it's FREE ! LOL

Our TV news people here, with a flair for the dramatic, are calling it the "Wolf Blood Moon".

yeah, that's got something to do with Indian lore I think.

I googled it.

The Super Blood Wolf moon is named for super-the moon is astronomically close to earth. Blood is for the color. Wolf is traditionally what the January full moon is called.

They explained on our news that its called the wolf moon because that is when the wolfs howl in January because of the cold.

 

Ok now I am sorry for the wolves!

I think we are ‘Over Mooned’.

Seems like these once-in-a-lifetime moons happen every month.

We’ve had more & more special moons in the last 5~Years.

Seems that way....
