BLENDER BLUNDER?

Did anyone see the demo on HSN of the Today's Special in which the blender actually started to SMOKE? He was making soup, and the host thought it was starting to steam, but it was smoke coming out of the compartment chamber that they had the machine isolated in. They were clearly embarassed. The were raving about the product, comparing it to a much more expensive machine. I will stay with my VitaMix.
