Three scammy emails-- allegedly from one of our primary banks- have come in the past several days.

All the messages have been different and all three have allegedly come from three well-known university web domains, but I'm sure those were faked.

I forwarded each  of them to "abuse@(bank's name).com" and immediately got  automated thank-you's  for reporting the email.

The bank's reply said it "shuts down hundreds of these phishing attempts every month" .

If anyone gets  suspicious emails or phone calls about credit cards,  of course don't call any numbers given  in a recorded message.

Just look on the back of your card and call THAT number.  It's the most lilkely to be "real".

Chase has the best fraud prevention teams!  I am a Chase retiree and attended several seminars on fraud prevention systems and procedures. I can tell you these people are very smart but it is almost impossible to stay a step ahead of the bad guys.
