When I came across this it reminded me so  much of my dear departed "bestest" of my three friends.  It was hard to type while the tears freely ran down my cheeks.  

1.   Regardless of how brief your plans together are, she will always stick to them.

2.   Boys will never come between you.

3.   No matter what you've done, she will always have your back.

4.   You have a mutual hatred for something utterly rational.

5.   You have a secret world that could probably have both of you sanctioned to a mental institution.

6.   You finish each other's sentences regularly and she seems to know what the other is thinking.

7.   You can sit in silence for a prolong period and not feel the necessity to make conversation.

8.   You share a strong passion for something that no one else could comprehend.

9.   She is more than just a friend to you.  You can't choose your family, but if you could, she would be top of the list.

10.   She's the only person on the planet you could spend all your time and company without becoming irritated, annoyed or frustrated.

11.   Your taste in men is completely different.

12.   There isn't a day that goes by that you don't contact one another.

13.   She will always be there to listen.

14.   You can make an utter fool of yourself and she could care less.

15.   If you look shocking, she'll tell ya.

16.   You can tell her absolutely anything.

17.   You never feel the sting of jealously of one another - no matter what.

18.   She accepts your faults.

19.   You'll have some of the best memories of your lives together.  (Truer words were never spoken.)

@Lindsays Grandma  Thank you for this.So true. My BFF from childhood passed away 11 1/2 years ago, suddenly from a massive heart attack.One minute we were on the phone talking. As we were hanging up she told me she loved me.An hour later she was gone. I think about her & my mom every day. Some people are simply impossible to let go of.💔😢

Thanks so much for this, @Lindsays Grandma .  I lost my best friend of 52 years to a rare cancer in late May, unable to visit her or to attend her funeral because of Covid.  I am grateful that she is at peace and pain-free, and I know there will come a time when I will be able to think of her and smile and maybe even laugh at all we went through together, but right now, the ache is unbearable.
