How's everybody doing?   september, shoekitty, Dell, everyone in the area.

Power is down in many areas, we just got the lights back on, thankfully we have a lot of QVC flameless candles and lanterns from Amazon.

Flash flood warnings for San Anselmo, other parts of Marin County and downtown San Francisco.

Be safe, everyone!  Heart

Here we go again. I know we need it and I do love rain but worried for those in the flood area's. We have a park across the street where all the water goes, actually looks like a Lake some days.

Be safe out there and slow down speeders!

Hi @MaRina

It's been nine days of straight rain, heavy for the most part, and much of the ground is saturated.

Notices are coming out... Marin schools closing, evacuations ordered in some areas, including in the Napa Valley, Petaluma and parts of Sonoma county.

Thank God my son in construction. He has plastic bag tied around chummy, will replace, wind cAusing rain to come down chummy.  plastic covering vents, water blowing in under house. Plastic covering two side Windows, leaking, will put in New one in spring and dug a pipe in side yard to release water rising. He has not had a change to make repairs between storms.  I heard we don,t need water, we have gone over goal.  Grounds are saturated.

We are east of you just over the hill. It's hasn't been raining here for 9 days, just 3 with this latest storm.

So many flooded area's, prayers for all to hear the warnings to evacuate and be safe!

Re: BAY AREA STORM

[ Edited ]

Very dark and scary here.  Lots of trees.  keeping our fingers crossed. Raining and stormy all the way around...Family in San Francisco also in storm...all is well though.

Our state has needed rain, but looking forward to Spring.

@Noel7

My dad's childhood was spent in San Anselmo.  All of his life he spoke fondly of having lived there.  After, his family lived in the City.

Hi @Susan in California

I love San Anselmo!  It's such a beautiful little town, and the San Francisco Theological Seminary is there, lovely buildings, I've been there for classes and seminars.

San Anselmo itself usually takes a hit and floods during heavy rain, but thank goodness they're used to it there and know just what to do.  They get their sand bags early.

I have been a bit out of the loop, and had no idea all you wonderful Westerners were having such turbulent weather.  Hope it calms down VERY soon and all are safe.
