Avoiding shaking hands.............

I am allergic to the hand sanitizer the cruise ship has everyone use on their way into the dining room. I carry a stash of one I am not allergic to.

I break out into big wet blisters is someone touches me who has used it. (experience from doctors office)

I am going to see a bunch of people I have not seen for years.

I need ideas for politely discouraging shaking hands, hugs, etc. without seeming rude and cold.

Ideas please!
