Australian Bride-To-Be Shot While Reporting Possible Crime

[ Edited ]

This is outrageous.  The woman called police to report a possible assault behind her building.  She was in her pajamas, at the police car when one of the police shot and killed her.

"Three people 'with knowledge of the incident' told the Star Tribune that the responding officers pulled into the alley behind Damond’s home. The woman, wearing pajamas, approached the driver’s side door and was talking to the driver, reported the Star Tribune. The officer in the passenger seat shot Damond through the driver’s side door, the three people told the newspaper."

The officers are required to wear cameras but neither of them had their's turned on.

We don't know the whole story.....do we?  This is a real problem we have in America.  It makes the news before it can truly be investigated.  We are quick to blame before all the facts come out.  I just can't get emotional, if all the facts haven't been presented.

OK, are they required to have them on while still in the car?

This incident took place this weekend in Minneapolis.

The more I learn the more I realize how little I know.
Are you setting an example or being an example?
