Anyone have any idea as to what type of flower this may be on this sterling pendant?
At a loss & can't find anything similar online.
TIA

Edelweiss flower
" The edelweiss flower symbolizes purity, resilience, courage, and love. It's also associated with national pride, good fortune, and spiritual strength "
"
" The edelweiss, a delicate mountain flower with furry white petals, is so strongly associated with the Alps it is hard to believe it originated in the Himalayas and Siberia. It was not until the second half of the 19th century that what botanists in Zurich previously called the ‘wool flower’ became widely known as edelweiss and took on a special cult status in Switzerland. The flower has attracted admirers and critics over the years but remains one of the most iconic images of Switzerland, adorning everything from airlines to coins to the logo for the Swiss tourism office. Wow I learned something new today..........I had no clue what that flower was, I am not much of a flower person but all I can think of now is the song "Edelweiss".........we sang it all the time in elementary school glee club. That's so funny, thanks @skatting44 for the picture, input and happy memory![]()

Looks like 2 star fishes, one on top of another.

The edelweiss is one of my favorites. On a trip to Germany and Austria once, we learned that folklore says that since edelweiss grow up in the mountains that if a boy gives one to a young lady, it shows how much he loves her because of the length he went to, to obtain the flower.

@rockygems123. There are dozens of hybrid versions of ordinary plants that yours could be. Designers often use their imaginations to stylize or exaggerate features of a plant.
Reminds me of a stylized poinsettia.

So true they made fantasy figurals. And stylized poinsettia was what came to mind first for me too ![]()
